Hello Team , I installed VSOM 7.11.0.  My Pelco  Spectra IV-IP cameras do not configure properly even after the firmware was updated to the mentioned version of 1.02.0018. does anyone have this challenge and can you provide the template settings to get them operational again?

I have the same issue, but due to running our Media Servers on a certain version of a Linux machine - we could only upgrade to 7.8.0. Still getting this error failed to stream with new config on my Cisco CIVS-IPC-2630V

Hello havertyrma, yes I am still trying to figure out what settings I need in the template to satisfy what VSOM and the camera are streaming. I have tried mostly all combinations of generic/sarix/pelco settings for Low, medium, high resolutions and nothing seems to work. also tried disabling the recording verify, and also the repair and replace configurations in the cisco VSOM camera menu. Which is what Cisco support has as a resolution. But did not work. still trying :( to get these roof top cameras going , I am blind and security is paramount for my organization ! , not a good day when Cisco TAC is not jumping in to assist.

I open Cisco TAC cases every other day, we have so many issues with VSOM & Cisco cameras.. Honestly getting tired of the headaches and the amount of time our team designates to maintaining the video surveillance environment.

I had similar issues... I got this fixed by mounting /media# first, then initialised the application.

So here are the steps:

Deploy the OVA on VMware, once completed, you will need to mount the /media# folder. This can be either NAS for external storage or DSA on your local VMware or combination of those.

Reboot the VM to ensure the /media is mounted properly.

Then follow the installation guide by first setting up the VSM and then VSOM should work without any issues.

Hope that helps.
