Hi Community,
I got into a discussion with a customer because there is a ''ccie-candidate'' that was proposing a different solution that I was...
Turns out both solutions (mine and this other guy) where valid points of view... but I think... aren't we ALL ccie-candidates??? haha

it's not like you can memorize the exams (like happens with other certificacions unfortunately).
No offense to anyone but I am really, really amazed at how some people can memorize the entire book without touching any hardware. Absolutely amazing!
I forgot to add that the "CCIE candidate" was hired because he claims to be just that, a "candidate" for the certification. We have now considered putting this title into our email signature block just for kicks.

You know just because someone has a CCIE doesn't always mean they are always right. I had a CCIE one time throw a wrench in my wireless design. He was clueless to wireless (his IE was R/S) and the customer put the project on hold.In short, I had to spend a week to educate him on the basics of wireless. In the end I got the idea he liked to question EVERYTHING on everyones projects to prove his worth to his employer. This guy used his IE to throw his weight around ...
While onsite there was a network down issue. This guy had little clue how to troubleshoot, which just amazed me. He spent 2 hours to find a trunk was switched to access port...
just saying ....
