Leo discovers new Network attack

Better late than never.....

Thank you Leo for uncovering what is a new type of network attack.

I have been analyzing all the data for months now and here is what I found.

This is a new type of "Flooding" attack which will flood H2O packets to try and bring down the network by rendering all network gear unusable.

In researching this I found that a newly discovered protocol was
at work here, TFP (The Flooding Protocol), this protocol uses
a leaking situation to start the flow of H2O packets. To stop
TFP you must apply a patch or a total block on the system that is causing leak.

Now even though the patch has been applied, the network gear maybe
so badly damaged by this new attack that it may need to be totally
replaced. This makes this one of the worst network attacks we have seen
this millennia.

To help avoid this debilitating network attach you must ensure you
have a PPP (Professional Plumbing Person) check the area, and of course
the biggest threat of all is "MN", otherwise known as Mother Nature.

Also note.... as you can see that Cisco Switching gear is far more hardened against this type of attack,

so I would recommend that all network equipment be replaced immediately with state of the art Cisco gear.

I will ask Dan to prsent this to the appropreate people to make sure you get the recognitions you rightfully deserve. I do stand corrected and I can't beleive I did not catch it. It must be a CCPSIRT.....Cisco Certified Pluming, Service, Inspection and Repair Technician who performs the work or you service contrat will be null and void.
