Adding Brownfield Devices to Cisco Catalyst Center

We are working on adding devices to Catalyst Center and are hoping to use templates and Catalyst Center to have a global configuration available to use in our environment. We are hoping to use templates and any tools available in Catalyst Center to push out configurations if needed, and basically try to keep the configuration on the switches similar to the global configuration. We also want to enable automation/discovery so that we can deploy new switches as they come in (we are going to upgrade >200 switches to 9300 and if possible, want to automate that process using Catalyst Center so that they get the global configuration as per our standards)

When I add a device to a site, and provision them (my understanding is that we would need to provision the switches to get the templates), I am able to get the configuration down to the switches, but with AAA settings in place, I am NOT able to SSH into the switches from my laptop, but Catalyst Center is able to SSH into it. I compared the AAA commands that Catalyst Center pushes down, and is quite different from what we have in our current environment. Is there a way to use our AAA configuration, while still have Catalyst Center "manage" our switches? If so, what would I need to do to get our configuration in place so that we can SSH into the switches as needed.

Yes, if you remove any AAA settings from Design->Network Settings then Cat Center will not push any.  There must be a simple explanation though for why you can't login.  Catalyst Center is not trying to lock you out, so with a little more aaa troublehsooting you could figure that out, I'm sure.

Hopefully you are also looking into Plug and Play or Switch Refresh workflow to help speed up your switch replacements.
