Dear all,
I'm facing a major issue with new C9500-40X-A for one of our customer. I configured 6 of them into a lab with Layer-3 and DNA Advantage features (Stackwise, IGP, etc) everything went good and the configuration was properly done. (3xStackwise domains)
Yesterday we put the 6 nodes at the customer environment and during the boot I figured out that 4 of my devices couldn't recognize the Advantage license. I got the following syslog message:
%STACKMGR-1-LIC_MISMATCH: Switch 2 R0/0: stack_mgr: License level is network-essentials and needs to be upgraded to network-advantage for Stackwise Virtual to function.
After few reboot I still have the same issue on the same devices, I tried to re-implement the command: 'license boot level network-advantage addon dna-advantage' and save it but nothing changed.
Here's what I get from a show lic details:
Smart Licensing Status ====================== Smart Licensing is ENABLED Registration: Status: UNREGISTERED Export-Controlled Functionality: NOT ALLOWED License Authorization: Status: EVAL MODE Evaluation Period Remaining: 86 days, 22 hours, 35 minutes, 34 seconds Export Authorization Key: Features Authorized: <none> Utility: Status: DISABLED Data Privacy: Sending Hostname: yes Callhome hostname privacy: DISABLED Smart Licensing hostname privacy: DISABLED Version privacy: DISABLED Transport: Type: Callhome License Usage ============== (C9500 Network Essentials): Description: Count: 1 Version: 1.0 Status: EVAL MODE Export status: NOT RESTRICTED (C9500-40X DNA Essentials): Description: Count: 1 Version: 1.0 Status: EVAL MODE Export status: NOT RESTRICTED Product Information =================== UDI: PID:C9500-40X,SN:FOC2431L1HS Agent Version ============= Smart Agent for Licensing: 4.8.10_rel/63 Reservation Info ================ License reservation: DISABLED |
Any idea about this ? I'm really surprised that it worked well during our test and main config, I could implement every features I want and now I'm stuck...
