Hi all,
New to CatC. I was setting up some email notification for some alerts. I get the email when the alert happened. Anyone knows how I can receive an email when the alert cleared/resolved?
thanks!
Kevin

I am experiencing this issue running 2.3.7.7-70047. I opened a case and the workaround has been to remove any sites from the Sites and Events field. I had my events set to use Global. Once I removed that from one of my alerts, I started to receive Active/Resolved alerts. I have tested this with an alert for when an access point goes offline.

Kevin,
Unfortunately, this is a known issue / limitation for this feature.
CSCwn29065 - "Resolved" Notifications not sending - 2.3.7.x
In Release 2.3.7.7-70047-CSCwn35006.SMU or later, the resolved notification limitation is resolved for event notications.

Charlie,
correct, if a site is used, the issue is seen. The fix that I am speaking to addresses the "Site" filtering with event notfications.

man, i'm glad i checked this posting. i had notifications set up and working fine, the resolved mails broke when my instance was upgraded to 2.3.7.6. i had global selected for the sites. my instance has since been upgraded to 2.3.7.7
then i was working on a different instance, set up notifications on that instance, and was getting the resolved mails. This instance is running 2.3.7.7. so that had me really befuddled.
just saw this post, and when i check my instance, yes, global was selected, i have de-selected it. I checked the other instance and nothing was selected for sites. so that explains why that instance was sending resolved mails, but mine wasn't.
thanks for posting this, it was very helpful (for me, anyway)
