Hello All,

I am going over the hardware specifications for different models of DNAC (DN2-HW-APL) etc. but unable to understand some of the specifications such as "Ratio of endpoints:Wired, Ratio of endpoint:Wireless etc. What does these mean?

Also, what is "Number of transient endpoints over 14-day period" mean?

Please see attached screenshot.

Would appreciate any help.

Regards

Mohan

Hi

Wireless sensor is a small device like an Access Point that can be used to probe your wireless network and the statistic is shown in the DNAC Dashboard.

Number of concurrent endpoint is how many endpoints you have on the network during a period. Imagine that in your company employees use laptops and they take the laptops home when they leave. During the day you may have 1000 endpoints (concurrent). During the night this number will be much more smaller.

Ratio of Wireless and wired:  This is the relationship between both. Meaning, you may have 1000 endpoint:  500 wireless and 500 wired.

Number of transientes endpoints.   This is the most confuse maybe. This is defined probably due Data base size.  As the DNAC will store device information for a period.   For most of company the number of transient endpoint will not change much as only allowed device can connect.

Thank you very much. That clarifies a lot. Thanks.
