DNAC PnP image install failed

Hello Everyone,

I'm trying to update a switch image using DNA Center's PnP functionnality.

I get the following error :NCOB04023: Failed to install image on the device. (PnP Service Error 1826. Switch is not in installed mode. Abort.)

Does anyone know how t solve it ?

I tried the no boot system / boot system flash:packages.conf commands to put switch (9300L) in INSTALL mode, but it didn't work.

The IOS version I'm trying to push on switch is cat9k_iosxe.17.06.05.SPA.bin.

PS : The pnp works when I don't change switch image

Thanks !

Post the complete output to the following switch commands:

  • sh version
  • dir

I am suspecting the switch is currently in Bundle Mode.

This is the result of the sh version command, we can see that the switch is indeed in INSTALL Mode

This is the output of the dir command :

The packages.conf file is present, and the dna was also able to transfer the cat9k_iosxe.17.06.05.SPA.bin

Switch 2?  Is this a stack?

It used to be a stack, but I removed it for the tests. The switch is in standalone mode. Also, I was wrong the switch is a 9200L not a 9300L. The image was recommended for 9300. Is it possible that the image is just node compatible with the device type ?

The universal image for the 9300 is not compatible with the 9200 (and vice versa).

I tried the doing the same on 9300L. Didn't work either.
