Hi Everyone

I'm using the maglev wizard i.e. "sudo maglev-config update" to perform the initial configuration of a new DNAC appliance but after providing various items of IP address information at the appropriate prompts, I get the following error message after about 20 minutes:

Has anyone come across this before?

Hi scvvuuren

Thanks for responding. Answers to your questions below:

Are you trying to load it with an ISO? Yes

Is the ISO mounted to KVM or USB drive? Yes

Assuming you got the ISO from TAC, did you do a checksum to verify the file integrity? Yes

Did you reinitialize the virtual drives before attempting to reload the system? Yes

In the end, got TAC involved and was asked to flash the USB drive all over again with the etcher tool and re-image. Did so and then kicked off the re-imaging again with TAC on Webex. Failed again.

TAC took over and tried variations of the same process but all failed consistently. TAC was at the point of ordering a replacement appliance but asked for one more attempt but this time with a different USB from different manufacturer. Did so by changing from sandisk to kingston and flashing a new drive and this time the re-imaging worked at the first attempt.

Although there is no compatibility list for USB drives, apparently some brands have been offered to fail in the field when used to flash for DNAC re-imaging even though they pass the openssl validation test.
