noob quistions for DNA migration

hello experts

we have a quite traditional old network we 6500's acting as a core with HSRP running between them and PO to distribution and etc etc

now we plan to migrate to C9k core and distribution with adding DNA and here comes the pain.

as i have done some research i found them talking about Vxlan and using L3 links only something about is-is and things quite made my unconformable to be honest.

my question couldnt we just put the new c9k core with same configuration of 6500 then attach DNAC similar as attaching Cisco prime at the end of implementation.

what could you suggest for someone in my position and what about the down town

thanks in advance

Yes, that's exactly what you can do. It is important to split this up since that there are two pieces here you touched on. DNA Center offers things like network device management/templating, software image management, assurance/troubleshooting, but also software defined access (SDA).

SDA is the piece that leverages the technologies you indicated as part of a network fabric, vxlan, routed underlay, is-is etc. You can deploy the new cat9k's as traditional network devices just like you have with the cat6k, then discover them with DNA for management/assurance/SWIM, but not provision them in to a SDA fabric.

thanks Damien

if i got this correctly i will use it as traditional but in this case DNA wont be capable to do provisions nor fabrics. yes?

if yes is there different with the license to use or its one license for both using as traditional or provisions
