Hello All,
We are updating our 9400s switches to the latest versions of cisco recommend code. How long in total it is taking for you guys to complete the process using "DNAC". I'm talking about all the way through where it will remove the inactive files as well.
Thank you

take a look at the DNA video Overview of Software Image Management (SWIM) in Cisco DNA Center
advance to about 6 minutes -> how long does SWIM take to upgrade
for 9300 (single switch) series activation varied between 11 and 17 minutes
I did not perform a cleanup after activation, and did not record time needed for distribution

Hi
It will depend on how fast is your network. The IOS will be sent to the device and IOS-XE is huge. If we are taking about a remote location with low bandwidth link this can take forever. For Lan network much less time.
Then, there is the installation process itself that is the same dont matter how you are doing.
The Advantage of an orquestrator like DNAC is that it can do many switch at once but the time will not be different.

Upgrading, without DNAC, from 17.3.X and and 17.6.4 to 17.9.3 took 12 minutes because of micro-code upgrade.
And DNAC will not do "golden capsule" (and neither do I recommend it either).
