i keep getting this error when deploying domain profile to pair of FIs
Fc Storage Role configuration is allowed only in FC Switching mode.
I checked my switchcontrol policy and it is in switching mode
any idea?

I haven't seen that before, TAC would probably need to investigate further but are you trying to change it to FC switch mode and configure the storage port in a single config change?
If so, I would try to first deploy a change to put it in FC switch mode and then go back and deploy a change to configure the storage port role to see if that temporarily works around the issue

any idea what this means?
VLANS in VSAN policy conflickts with reserved VLAN range 3915-4042

In your VSAN policy, do any of your VSANs have an FCoE VLAN ID of 3915-4042?
"IDs of FCOE VLANs associated with the VSAN configuration must be between 2 and 4093. VLAN IDs from 3915-4042, 4043-4047, 4094, and 4095 are reserved for system use."

yes it overlaps with the reserve. any idea what the vsan ID should be for a new setup?

If its a totally new fabric and you don't have an existing upstream SAN switches that uses VSANs, I try to keep the VSAN/FCoE VLAN ID the same for simplicity purposes and just use any unused VSAN/VLAN that doesn't fall within the reserved ranges.
For instance, on FI A I might do VSAN/FCoE VLAN 20 (if its not in use) and then on FI B I might do VSAN/FCoE VLAN 21 (if its not in use).
Now if you have an existing upstream SAN fabric and it uses VSAN 80 and 81 and need to communicate with devices on those switches, then you would want to use those VSAN ids on the fabric interconnects as well.

we are not planning to connect to SAN switch. The 1st 8 FC ports on each fabric will be connected directly to PURE storage arrays. Can i set VSAN ID to 100 ,FCOE 10 and VSAN ID to 20, FCOE VLAN ID 20 on A/B side respectively?

Yes as long as you don't have any future intentions to use VLAN 10 or 20 within those fabric interconnects for anything other than FCoE storage traffic
"FCoE VLANs in the SAN cloud and VLANs in the LAN cloud must have different IDs. Using the same ID for an FCoE VLAN in a VSAN and a VLAN results in a critical fault and traffic disruption for all vNICs and uplink ports using that FCoE VLAN. Ethernet traffic is dropped on any VLAN with an ID that overlaps with an FCoE VLAN ID."

I am not even using fcoe. but i still need to come up with an vlan id?

Correct, between the blades/racks and the FI's it is using FCoE and then it can use FC to your storage ports/uplinks

I am trying to find the option of FCoE Storage port role on Intersight but unable to find so.
Basically I am going to attach a FCoE SAN appliance directly to the FIs 6536. Any help will be appreciated..Thanks
