3850 switch is lost remote access post upgrade of 16.12.07  - This is expected as switch reboots after upgrade. After reboot are you not able to connect ? using SSH ?

But it is reachable locally. Please explain why ?  - Console or SSH ?  if SSH, then you may have lost some routing check, if this is console, then regenerate SSH keys by zero them.

Kindly let me know of you need more details on this  - show run, show version, show IP ssh (outputs help)

also give us more information what is locally reachable IP, what is your remote IP (can you able to ping switch ?)

After reboot are you not able to connect ? using SSH ? Ans: Yes, not able to connect via SSH

Console or SSH ?Ans: It is pinging from site core switch and able to login from core switch locally

Example: ABC-Core-Sw01#SSH 192.168.xx.xx(able to login to the switch which is not able to reach remotely)

can you able to ping switch ?Ans: No from outside but yes from locally that is from site core switch

After configuring the IP default gateway in that switch...now it is reachable from remote.

Please explain in detailed. Also please let me know if you need more information on this.

If you can provide your whatsApp number, that will be more helpful to discuss in detail.

Thanks a lot for your response on this

Sure it might have not saved the config, so routing missing glad you able to fix the issue.

Thank you for the response sir. I have another query is that my CCNP certification is going to expire in this month(Feb 2023). What is the next Cisco certification that I need to do to avoid CCNP expiration.

Please suggest/recommend next valid Cisco certifications.

Thank you
