CML Configuration on a SuperMIcro?

We are looking at CML that will run on a SuperMicro with 16 cores and 1024gig of RAM along with vSphere 6.0

Anyone running on SuperMicro?

The way understand CML for a 25 node license is,, a user makes a design and adds the required devices (say 10 devices which is 10 nodes) and deploys that in CML ,that take 10 out of a 15 total pool and would allow another user to run a test with up to 5 nodes at the same time.

When you are done testing, you can remove the test from CML and it releases the nodes back into the pool?

Is it possible to run 200+ nodes in the above hardware ?

I read there is a 16 Core CPU and 128 GB RAM per 50 nodes (at least on the CISCO hardware) is recommendation .

or, if you have 200+ IOSv nodes, doesn’t that make the hardware requirement

64 Core CPU , 512 GB RAM

thanks

Hello,

You are correct, the pool will be back after stopping the simulation i.e when you stop the simulation the nodes will be released to give the pool again 15. All the users can use maximum 15 nodes collectively.

About the requirement and specification please make use of the System Administrator Installation Guide available at http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/cloud-systems-management/modeling-labs/products-installation-guides-list.html

Thanks and Regards,
