IP Traffic over External Connector (Bridge Mode) not possible

Good day folks!

Maybe someone can help me thinking about this issue

Just created my first CML (2.5) lab .. got a bunch of Nexus9000v up and wanted to reach their mgmt0 interface from another VM in out vSphere Setup, where also the CML VM is running.

Added another N9kv as "out-of-band Switch" which has an External Connector attached to Eth1/1 and created one VLAN on it placing all Interface on the OOB Switch as access ports into this VLAN.

Then attached all mgmt0 if the N9kv Switches to the OOB Switch, gave them an IP address within the same subnet in which the CML VM resides on the mgmt0 interface and added a default route to the default gateway for this subnet in the management VRF.
External Connector is in bridge mode.. bridge0 Interface.

Now i have the following scenario:
ARP is being forwarded perfectly fine, if I try pinging any IP in the subnet where the CML VM resides, ARP table populates perfectly fine with the correct MAC addresses.

But ping doesn't work over the bridge.

Ping between the virtual nodes inside CML is all fine. ARP is fine in the whole subnet even over the bridge. But it seems that no IP traffic is possible over the bridge ..

Anybody seen this exact behavior before?

BR Jules
