router icons greyed out and some links not visible

in my workbench the router icons are very faint and almost greyed out unless i click on them, also i can't see the links unless i click on the router they are connected to - any idea why this is happening?

In later versions of CML, an option was added to hide and show links. If you right click a dimmed node do you see "Show Links"? If so, left click that option. That should also un-dim the node.
