Hello,
I am running CML 2.7.2 and using the following topology with IOSvL2 switches:
I have configured SWITCH 1 as VTP Server, and SWITCH 2 and 3 as VTP clients. The VLANS are:
- VLAN 10, active ports on SWITCH 2 only
- VLAN 20, no active ports on any switch
-VLAN 1001, no active ports on any switch
All switches have the same VTP version and password, and pruning is enabled on all 3 of them. Also, pruning looks good on all switches:
But for some reason, even though SWITCH 1 is pruning VLAN 10 on interface G 0/1, I can still see ARP request broadcasts from the DESKTOP host on the trunk between SWITCH 1 and SWITCH3 (whenever I try to ping an unknown IP address from DESKTOP)!! And this packets are tagged with VLAN 10 tag!!
Any one knows if is a CML bug, or am I doing something wrong?
