Security of content sharing with Proximity feature

Hello Everyone,

My team has been able to get the CISCO Proximity feature working on a Windows 7 laptop as we have upgraded our SX20 codec to CE8.  However my concern is flyby devices outside of the rooms being able to connect to the content that is being shared with the door closed.

How do we prevent other users with laptops/mobile devices that are not part of the meeting from connecting in?

We can see other devices connected as our screen would indicated who is currently connected to the session.

Thoughts to address this?

Thank you,

Hi

It is difficult to avoid this if the conference room is leaking ultrasonic audio and the "flyby" device is connected to the same network as the video endpoint. Making sure the room is not leaking ultrasound audio out of open cracks is a good start. Installing a spectrum analyzer on your smart device can be used to see where the leak is most significant and corrective actions can be taken. Not a lot of mass is needed to prevent ultrasonic audio waves from breaking through. If total security is needed for a specific session one can easily turn the feature off from the touch panel.
