AnyConnect Client Linux functionality

Hello,
this is a bug report. Since I don't know who to contact, I'm posting in this forum in the hope that the information will be forwarded to the right place.

I am using the cisco anyconnect client on openSUSE Tumbleweed. Unfortunately the client does not work out of the box. I installed the client using the provided bash script.
The script creates the file vpnagentd.service under /etc/systemd/system/

This file contains the line: EnvironmentFile=/etc/environment

The problem is that the environment file does not exist under openSUSE TW. Therefore the attempt to start the vpnagend service fails and the anyconnect client cannot be started.

In Fedora (and I assume also in Ubuntu), where the client works out of the box, the file exists but is empty. This means that the file is not really needed.

To get the client to work in openSUSE TW, I need to change this line as follows:

EnvironmentFile=-/etc/environment

The minus sign ignores the file if it does not exist.

My suggestion would therefore be to change the line in your installation routine as well (or delete it if it is deprecated) to ensure better compatibility.

Thanks!
