Can 64GB USB used to create bootable ISE3.1 iso image for SNS-3655-K9?

Need to install ISE3.1 on SNS-3655-K9 using bootable USB.

Per installation guide for ISE3.1, to create bootable USB device from the Cisco ISE installation ISO file using LiveUSB-creator tool  it suggests to

  • Use an 16-GB or 32-GB USB device.
  • Reformat the USB device using FAT16 or FAT32 to free up all the space.

We have 64 GB USB drive. Does CISCO support 64-GB USB device to create bootable ISO and use it for ISE3.1 installation for SNS-3655-K9? Or USB max size should be 32GB only? If 64GB USB can be used, what steps should be taken to make sure it's created correctly and it's a working USB?

Thanks!

Can I get any response please?

Hi,
In an older ISE guide it says use 8GB or higher. Ref Link - https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/ise/2-6/install_guide/b_ise_InstallationGuide26/b_ise_InstallationGuide_26_chapter_011.html

For the latest versions it says 16gb or 32GB.
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/security/ise/3-1/install_guide/b_ise_InstallationGuide31/b_ise_InstallationGuide31_chapter_4.html#create-bootable-usb

Now theoretically it should be fine as long as you follow the same steps mentioned in the. guide but i would sill recommend to use 16gb or 32GB because that is what would have been extensively tested by cisco.
Please refer to the above mentioned link for detailed steps.
