Hello all,
I just bought a CISCO access point and I need to power it up via my POE port. So Fa0 and Fa1 are POE ports but when I plug in the cable my access point is not taking power so I think I need some configuration to the port. I found this in the CISCO guide but not working for me.
Router# configure terminal
Router(config-if)# power inline static
Unfortunately there are no commands "power inline" my output is:
Router(config-if)#power inline
^
% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.
Even when I am trying "show power inline" is the same. So I don`t know how to give a power to my access point. Thanks in advance.

Post the complete output to the command "sh inventory raw".
The small routers require two things:
There are people who sell these routers, and claim PoE, but they removed the PoE daughter card so they can charge more for it.

My router was brand new so nobody opened it, just no PoE
