Cisco IOS-EX C3650 Upgrade Path

Hi All,

I am looking for an upgrade path for IOS-XE versions.

Currently running 03.06.08.E planning to 16.12.10a.

1). Can I go direct to new version, or there is inbetween versions?
2). Are they any things I need to be careful about? License or something, can you help me how to fix that also?

Direct upgrade to 16.12.X is supported.

What is the business case for upgrading to 16.X.X?  Because if I was chasing for long term stability, 3.X.X is more stable than 16.X.X.

Sorry but its company reqruitments, they want me to upgrade to this version. I read on forum before, someone said we need to be careful about License when upgrading this devices, could you maybe please give me further informations what we need to be careful and how to fix it?

I recommend to review the release notes of that version. But switching-wise, you keep the same Permanent licenses after the upgrade.
