Cisco Prime 3.10.5 not updating APs from wlc 9800

Hi all,

I recently updated our Cisco Prime to 3.10.5. Yesterday we changed 2 APs registered to our WLC9800 (17.9.4a), but now on Cisco Prime I still see old APs. If I click on AP on Prime, it looks old APs with old serial number are registered on wlc, but clicking on Refresh from device I correctly obtain "Object not found in device". New APs have same name of old ones, but I think informations should be updated. I don't find serial numbers of new APs on Prime. I've already tried to sync manually wlc, but nothing changed. Any idea?

@gdspa

Remove the old AP entry and Sync the WLC again.

I obtain this error
Selected APs are associated to a Wireless Controller and cannot be deleted

Monitoring > All Access Points > Clear (to the right of the AP you want removed).

Sorry, but I don't have path you indicates, from Monitor I can go to Device Type -> Unified AP and Delete AP, I don't have any Clear button.

Let me check in this Prime version

Monitor > Managed Elements > Network Devices

From there, I can only delete APs, but I obtain message already shared.

Unfortunatelly I dont have access to a Prime to help you further. I went through this before with old cisco version but things has changed a lot.

 But I believe the problem is related to the AP having the same hostname and this create conflict. One thing you can do, for test at least , is changing the hostname for the new AP just a little bit and see if prime can recognize it.

Changing hostname of APs registered on WLC didn't fix. I also tried to stop and start ncs, no update of APs. I think something is not working in real-time monitoring, because since prime upgrade, 9 days ago, I didn't receive any message related to APs unregistered from WLC, and in this week some APs unregistered for some reason.

Make Sense.

If you can open a TAC, sounds like appropriated.

@gdspa I am facing a similar issue. Were you able to find a solution?
