Does GRE tunnel setting require securityk9 license?

Just a question regarding the feature licensing, does GRE tunnel setting between 2 cisco routers need the license for permanent use?

What model routers are you using?

GRE tunnels are a pretty fundamental router function, I've not seen a license requirement before!

GRE is included in the Base license. However it you wanted to secure your GRE tunnel and encapsulate it in an IPSec tunnel then you will need to purchase the Security license.
