Latest firmware for ASA 5505

the latest and only software version for an ASA 5505 is 9.0.4 Interim released in 24-Oct-2016.

The latestt and only available version is the already mentioned 9.0.4. But there were also versions 9.1 and 9.2 available and supported in the older days. If you need a cheap lab device, better go for a used 5506. This one is also outdated, but the software has much more features.

The most recent and sole version  currently accessible is the previously mentioned 9.0.4. However, in the past, versions 9.1 and 9.2 were also accessible and supported. If you're in need of an economical lab device, opting for a pre-owned 5506 would be preferable. While it's outdated, its software boasts a wider array of features.

While the ASA 5505 is a reliable firewall, Cisco ended new software releases for the ASA 5500-X series in 2*021. The latest firmware version compatible with ASA 5505 is Cisco ASA 9.16.
