I apologize up front if this is the wrong discussion group. And if so, please let me know where this should be posted.
I have a requirement to upload startup-configs to new cisco switches using the console port from a headless RHEL server. The current method uses a Perl script to upload the startup-config using Screen and the xmodem protocol. And, the creator of this script is no longer available to update this process to be compatible with our new switches.
Does anyone have a better method for uploading a startup-config to a new switch from a headless RHEL server? TFTP and Telnet are NOT options, as well as any method that requires a GUI or direct user input.
