That command sequence looks fine, but perhaps check on other device if your Putty settings/console cable are fine.
If they are correct you problem facing an issue with the switch console port, reach out to the seller and see if this was the problem in the first place.
Once you got in use the cmdline recoverymode=1 to boot from the nexus image assuming that you have one, or you need to get one via usb/tftp/other
