Private vlan question

Ironically never implemented nor really went in depth with them, but say I have a dmz, amd I want to carry that network to my virtual cluster using one cable on multiple hosts.

Is it just an isolated config? All I need is the vlan tag right? Also if it overlaps on my primary network ( the vlan) what happens then?

Essentially I want to use a top row set of ports to decrease the amount of cable runs. From the dmz to the cab.

@rolebgoleb u good G... To extend your DMZ to multiple hosts via one cable: Use a unique VLAN tag on a trunk port. If the VLAN overlaps with your primary network, traffic will mix (bad). Configure the switch port as a trunk and tag the DMZ VLAN on your virtual hosts. Top-row ports work fine for this. Keep VLAN IDs distinct. If u need the commands and some good links to check out, just ping me......!

You want to pass DMZ traffic through multi SW

You need to add vlan tag of DMZ in each trunk between SW.
