send SNMP get/set/trap commands from 3064 switch to an external device

Hello,

Is there a simple way to send SNMP get/set/trap commands from 3064 switch to an external device?

There is an RPM called snmp.lib32_n3600. How can i list what functions it supports?

Can I use Docker container for that?

How can i check whether the installed versions of BASH, Python or PERL support the SNMP commands?

Thanks

Re: send SNMP get/set/trap commands from 3064 switch to an external device

Hello,

actually, both. I'd like to be able to:

1. execute snmpget to some external snmp device from 3064 switch and then send those results out as traps. 2. to run snmpset on the external device snmp agent.

Ideally the snmpget would run from a script running on the switch. The script can be activated using EEM or other methods.

thanks
