I wanted to ask, if I have a 1Gb SFP insert on one side, and I have a 10Gb SFP+ insert in the C9200L-48P-4X switch, will communication through these SFP inserts work? From what I recall, these switches only support a 10Gb insert. I'm wondering if this SFP+ insert can negotiate itself for speeds up to 1Gb or 100Mb? On the port configuration I have something like this:

Both ends must have the same speed and must be the same wavelength.

It will not work. It is not negociable. There are many use case here in the community and the conclusion is always the same.

if 10G is multiG then autonego will use speed 1 G.

How can I check this? I'm looking on this website (https://tmgmatrix.cisco.com/?dr=8&si=C9200L-48P-4X&me=1) and I don't seem to see such information.

I think my previous search was not done correctly.

So, I'm assuming that using any of these inserts should work without a problem if I have an Single Mode SFP - 1Gb insert on the other side.
