Hi @PadamPT normally OS will check the HEX value of comparing MAC addresses and take the lowest value.

same question explained here..

Hello @PadamPT,

In STP, the process of selecting the root bridge is based on the Bridge ID, which consists of a combination of the Bridge Priority and the Bridge MAC Address. The algorithm for determining the lowest MAC address for the root bridge is straightforward.

The algorithm for finding the lowest MAC address is a simple comparison. If Bridge Priorities are equal, the switch with the lowest Bridge MAC Address becomes the root bridge.

Best regards
