how to switch telnet by switch hostname through the putty.

You connect directly to SW and use putty?
So the PC have only SW connection and it will use it to resolve name' use the SW IP as dns server and make SW resolve it name to IP.
After that you see it useless case' because you use same SW to resolve it name

By default, PuTTY is configured to use the DNS settings of your computer's operating system to resolve hostnames.
If the name switch are not part of DNS, you can modify your host file to manually associate the IP address of the switch with its hostname.
On Windows, the host file is typically located at C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts
