I have a bunch of computers with an old version of webex installed and I can’t get it clear enough to install the new one. In the past, a combination of Cisco’s Webex removal tool and Microsoft’s program removal tool would do it, but recently they’re not doing enough and the installer is still hanging on old versions. On a recent machine I’ve run both of those cleanup programs and dug through the registry for any reference to Webex, cisco spark, webexteams, ciscocollabhost, etc and deleted them. I’ve also deleted all the program files from each user’s appdata. Even with all that, the newer installer still hangs on an old version.

Hi,
I understand how frustrating it can be to remove old versions of Webex. You might want to check for any hidden files and folders that could be causing issues. Sometimes, using the Webex Meetings Services Removal Tool can help clean up leftover files and folders. Additionally, it’s worth double-checking the registry for any missed entries, especially in HKCU:\\SOFTWARE\\MICROSOFT\\INSTALLER\\PRODUCTS\\
. After running the removal tools and cleaning the registry, try rebooting your computer before attempting to install the new version. If none of these steps work, contacting Cisco Support might be your best bet for further assistance.
I hope this helps you resolve the issue!
