Hi,

Could anyone tell where is the Activity Grader for Packet Tracer?

Thanks Victor

I'll find out about whether it is legal for me to share the files themselves.

Jim,

Thank you so much I got it.

About this grader:

Did you know that it counts only the number of items and did not care abut the points (scores).

Just an example:

- I have an exercise with 30 items and 50 points

- some items are 1 points and others are 2 or higher

- the student result is 40 points which is 80%

- but the number of completed items is 20

- this grader will calculate 66,66% for the overall result

So be careful with this extension if you use non-default points.

Or are there any settings to calculate with the points?

Thank you again.

That's not my experience.

This demo shows the results of an EIGRP .pka lab from the CCNAv6 curriculum. Note that this is the generic .csv file - not the "Canvas" one (because I don't use the NetAcad LMS - I use a different LMS). Also note that the student achieved 100% in this case (all assessment items correct - there are 15 items but all are weighted more than one point).

Here is the assessment summary using the "Check Results" button in the .pka

Score-pka.png

And here are the results from the Activity Grader for the same student (note that I removed all the columns that had no score in them because there were no assessment items for that category):

Score-csv.png

The scoring final result is there - but it erroneously calls it a "percentage" when it is not actually a percentage. It does not show each of the individual score items that make up the score though.

Is there a new version of Activity Grader for the PT 8.2.0?

I tried to use the same extension that worked back in 8.1.1, but I get an error:

I'm starting my fall quarter and I don't want to be without the Activity Grader.  Help!     Chris

I'm using Activity Grader 7.3.0.2 with Packet Tracer 8.2.0

You can find it starting at Packet Tracer Resources -> PT Desktop -> Community Solutions -> Activity Grader

Hi, the Activity Grader doesn't work for Cisco packet Tracer 8.1 and even 8.0? How were you able to manage to work it? Please help

Hi Inkar

Here is my instruction that I gave to my colleagues:
  1. Before installing Packet Tracer (PT), make sure that only the folder for "Cisco Packet Tracer" exists in the following folders, i.e. old versions removed completely:
    %LOCALAPPDATA%
    %USERPROFILE%
    C:\Program Files\
  2. Next, add the ActivityGrader addon to the folder C:\Program Files\Cisco Packet Tracer 8.1.1\extensions
  3. Open PT and find //Extensions -> IPC -> Configure Apps// there or open it with Ctrl+Shift+C
  4. If there is no Activity Grader in the add-ons list, add it using the Add button
  5. Select the added Activity Grader in the list of add-ons -> select Settings on the right and check that the "On Demand" option is selected
  6. Installation and configuration is complete. You can now add a shortcut "C:\Program Files\Cisco Packet Tracer 8.1.1\extensions\ActivityGrader\ActivityGraderx86_64.exe" to your desktop

And here is the trickiest part...
To begin the assessment you will probably need to launch the PT first, and after that launch Activity grader, choose the folder with the files that should be assessed, enter the activity password in the second (not first, because it may have problems sometimes) field and start assessment.

I can also put my video instruction on YouTube if you want. It is in Russian, but it should be clear anyway.
ps: As I can see by your name, you will certainly understand Russian
Should you have any questions reach me by v.pyagai@iitu.edu.kz

Hello,

will it work with PT 8.2.2 ?

Maybe write a new Activity Grader in python or java...

Konrad

It does work with 8.2.2. (I have used it recently.)

It is written in Java already.

Note: the link above by baohuynh no longer works directly - but if you want the "legacy" link, here it is: https://legacy.netacad.com/portal/resources/browse/a56ee9a0-1e86-4ebc-b1cd-b7fb8f598384

Here is a link on the new NetAcad: https://www.netacad.com/resources/lab/cisco-packet-tracer-resources?courseLang=en-US

Jim

thanks for the link to the activity grader.

My installation on win11 and PT 8.2.2 always points me to download java, which i did and install, rebooted, but to no use. How to solve this?
And a try on Ubuntu 22.04, where PT works, was not successful either. The extension was recognized at launch, asked to configure it, but when launching the grader a popup said "

Cannot launch ExApp: Activity Grader. The executable file name or location may be incorrect,or the ExApp is not designed to be launched from Cisco Packet Tracer"... Any ideas?

Really thank you for help.

Grading with new Activity Grader 8.2.1 not working, it only makes me csv file with header without other information.

Old one works but not perfectly.
