The relevance of certification is actually qestionable in any circunstancy. But, I dont agree with what you said for the reason that , the same way the technology evolve, the certification also change.
Of course not in the same speed. But, sooner, sdwan and cloud might be asked in ccna as well as traditional knowledge like routing and switching. Or new certification path will be created.
The fact is, certification or not, is up to us tech guys keep learning this new way to connect things because it is real.
Really huge company is deploying sdwan using device in the cloud as a service. They dont want to by devices anymore.
