Hello, is there any news on an Umbrella roaming client for Linux endpoints? I tried looking for information but I didn't see anything online.

Thank you!

Operating System Supported by Cisco Umbrella Roaming Client is below:

Supported Operating Systems

  • Windows 7 SP1 or newer with .NET 4.6.2+
  • macOS 10.13 or newer (as of client 2.3 or higher)

Unsupported Operating Systems

  • Windows Server (All versions)
  • Windows 10 Enterprise Multi-Session
  • Windows RT based ARM processors
  • macOS 10.12 or older.

Is there any timeline related to support for these systems?

Hello Dwayne,

There is no ETA , You may subscribe to the Announcements (https://support.umbrella.com/hc/en-us/sections/206896108-Announcements) section of our Support Portal for updates on new features.

I hope it helps.

Thank You!

Is there any way to use Umbrella with a Linux client? We have both DNS & SIG protection.

Could be possible set Umbrella as proxy with proxy pac configuration for example?

Thanks in advance

Yes, the proxy address for your tenant is in the Umbrella portal, so you can point anything at it, via PAC or whatever other method you want to configure machines.
