Allow annotation without asking permission on EQ kit

Hi all,

I’m currently using a Cisco Room Bar EQ Kit with RoomOS 11, where the content is being shared via Miracast or HDMI directly from a laptop. In this case, the Room Kit EQ acts as the presenter.

When participants attempt to annotate the shared content, it prompts a request for approval — but since the presenter is the Room device itself, there’s no option on the Room Navigator to approve the annotation request.

I’ve checked the following:

  • Annotation is enabled (xConfiguration UserInterface Features Annotation Mode: On)

  • Content sharing and annotation work as expected when a Webex App user is the presenter

  • Documentation like this article only mentions Board/Desk series — no clear solution for Room devices

What I need: A way to allow or auto-approve annotation requests for content shared by the Room Kit EQ itself
OR
A workaround that allows connected participants to annotate the Room Kit’s shared content without requiring approval

Has anyone found a configuration, macro, or supported setup that allows this?

Thanks in advance!
