How to access web interface for 8851 running 12.0

I am trying to upgrade my phone  to 12.8-1 load from 12-0-1 for our lab.

I have tried to http into the switch with the instructions I found on line.

http://<phone_ip>/admin/upgrade?<schema>://<serv_ip[:port]>/filename

But this returns an error saying it does not have correct path.

In 11.0 I could log in as admin and set up the 3rd party download

http://<phone_ip>/admin

Does anyone have the http link to get into the admin page?

Have you gone to the phone in CUCM and verified that "Web Access" is enabled for that phone? It is disabled by default and if you have changed models, it is likely disabled. Try enabling it, applying the new settings, and then web browse to the IP address of the phone.

Something doesn't add up on what you wrote, there is no 12.x FW for MPP phones, the latest one for 8851 MPP is 11.3.3 and is just a couple weeks old. The URLs you mention are for MPP phones.

There is 12.x, and a 12.8 FW for ENTERPRISE phones which none of the links you mentioned would be applicable to. They also DO NOT have a configuration GUI, just a view only GUI with basic information about the phone status and access to logs.

So, you want to find out what you're actually running, MPP FW? or enterprise FW?

Jaime,

You are correct.

I do have three separate phones in the phone lab that people have bought over the last few years.

One is CP-8851-3PPC.   running 11.0.1

The other two are loaded with the following versions:

One has sip88xx.12-8-1-0001-455.loads.

The other sip88xx.12-0-1SR1-1.loads.

I am  trying to install a KEM on the last phone and  I know that  I need to to upgrade from 12.0 to 12.6 for it to be supported.

I tried the use the configuration  and put in the

</loadInfomation>

sip88xx.12-8-1-0101-482.loads

</loadInfomation>

I can see the file in the phone after it loads the configuration, but I never see a TFTP request for the load file.

Any Ideals on how to force a TFTP?

Thanks
