Hi all,
here is the next company asking for a Linux client (approx. 200 Users, with tendency to rise).
Any news from cisco about a time schedule ??

2020 is a great year for release after so many years a linux client no ? :)

There is a web-based client named Fimbur that provides Jabber audio/video calling, IM and Presence. It works great under Linux too. Check it out:  https://developer.cisco.com/ecosystem/spp/solutions/182165/

Company with 6k+ users, most of them highly specialized, highly educated experts. With the current remote working setup, many of them are getting annoyed by not having a proper Linux client. When we have to choose between CISCO and comfort of our employees, who do you think we choose. The client needs to come ASAP. In the mean time, I am launching internal discussion on moving away from CISCO.

I'm trying to install it via Wine on Debian 9 Stable, however the installation fails.

I had limited success getting Jabber on-prem running with Wine-stable on Debian 10 and 11. Jabber 12.5.1 and 12.8.6 is working except Video and Expressway MRA. Later versions up to 14 are failing for me.
