Created by: null on 23-05-2007 08:35:58 PM Two questions tht come up immediately: Some of the machines weâ¿¿d like to load it on already have Avayaâ¿¿s dialogue designer, another Tool that uses Eclipse for IVR development, and has its own plug-ins.
Will studio co-exist peacefully on the same machine with this tool, without messing it up?
2) after installing studio 5 and call services 3.6 and creating and deploying the app "Hello World", I'm told that I should stop/start the application server. It asked about tomcat when I loaded call services, and made it seem like it was loading that as well. But I can't find anyway to start tomcat - there's just a war file under apache group/tomcat 4.1. Do I need to download tomcat directly from them?
Subject: RE: Getting Started w. AUDIUM Replied by: null on 24-05-2007 10:58:22 PM Hi Art,
Regarding you first question, as long as Studio is installed in its own independent location, it should peacefully co-exist with the other software.
As far as the installation of Audium Call Services is concerned, it created the Apache group/Tomcat 4.1/webapps folder because Apache Tomcat 4.1.24 was selected as the application server during the installation. Since Tomcat 4.1.24 was not previously installed, it created the expected structure and put the Audium.war file there.
If Apache Tomcat 4.1.24 had been installed and was selected during the Call Services installation, then it would have copied Audium.war to the webapps folder of the Tomcat installation.
If you do not have an application server installed, you could download it directly from their website. For a list of supported application servers and their download locations, please refer to the System Requirements section of the Installation Guide.
Once you have installed the application server, you could copy Audium.war into the appropriate directory ("webapps" in case of Tomcat) and start the application server. Once the server has been started, you could verify that Call Services was installed correctly by following the steps listed under the Running Audium section of the Installation Guide.
