Please wait, again and again

I'm guessing this is an anti-spam measure, but I am constantly being asked to wait 31s (or 36s sometimes for variety) before I can respond to another post.  It only just started happening.  I know I should just be patient, or maybe just read every post one more time, but it would be nice if we could get whatever this threshold is bumped a little bit.

Is this happening when you REPLY to a post or create a NEW post?

I spend 99% of my time replying - so it is happening when replying. Occasionally I am getting screens full of code, rather than the "There was a problem with your form submission. Please wait 49 seconds and try again." message.
