Cisco API for Product Details and Interface Capability

I would like to programmatically pull details about a cisco platform based on the PID.  The main ask is to get port counts and capabilities from that API.  (How many ports?  What can they support for speeds?)

I found this API that allows quite a few physical details about the model/pid in question, but it omits details on ports.
