Congratulations to the Cisco Live Milan DevNet Hackathon Winners and all of the excellent developers who participated in the Hackathon!
We had 24 hours of intense coding and over 20 teams present complete solutions for judging!
The 1st Place Solution
The winning solution was called “Pillbox”.
This solution used the Enterprise IoT APIs and the Jabber APIs to create an automated pill container and reminder system to help remind patients to take medication, monitor if they have taken the medication and communicate with a doctor, if needed. The doctor can set the pill schedule and prescription remotely.
The solution enables this type of scenario:
The Dr. prescribes the medicine and enters into a cloud system.
The cloud system can then remind the user to take medication via notification using Jabber.
The cloud system also interacts with a pillbox using EIoT technology to
unlock the pillbox.
The pillbox has pressure sensors in it so it can tell if the user actually
took the pills.
The pillbox can then message the Dr. and user with reminders etc.
Jabber can also be used to interact with the Dr. directly.
