Cert Path for Data Engineering or API developer

Hi Team,

For someone starting at ground zero. What is the CISCO cert pathway to become a data engineer or API developer? Let's assume it takes 2-4years of study. I'm set on this but want a clear direction of where to focus my energy, thank you for the advice.

Path1: Data Engineer, that can do pipelines and pub/sub live streams.

Path2: API developer, graphQL and other.

Thanks for the link Kasun but I'm too noob to understand which cert pathways I actually need.

Was hoping for something like this e.g. Data engineer for Azure is: DP-900 > DP-203 > DP-300 > DP-100 > DP-500 in that order.

What is the CISCO cert order for data engineers and API developers? I have already decided that I only want to do these jobs until I die.

@annonymous you would need to start with the Cisco Certified DevNet Associate certification, the next part of the path depends on your level of interest in areas to obtain a Cisco Certified DevNet Specialist certifications. Choose your focus areas from these option/exams:

• Automating and Programming Cisco Enterprise Solutions
• Automating and Programming Cisco Security Solutions
• Automating and Programming Cisco Service Provider Solutions
• Automating and Programming Cisco Collaboration Solutions
• Automating and Programming Cisco Data Center Solutions
• Developing Applications using Cisco Core Platforms and APIs
• Implementing DevOps Solutions and Practices Using Cisco Platforms
• Developing Solutions Using Cisco IoT and Edge Platforms
• Developing Applications for Cisco Webex and Webex Devices

Once you have two of the above Cisco Certified DevNet Specialist certifications, you can take the DevNet Pro exam (DEVCORE). After this there is one Expert exam https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/training-events/training-certifications/certifications/expert/devnet-expert.html where you must have the DEVCORE as a prerequisite.
