CML Running slow

Hello,

Does anyone else notice the new CML version running really slow? I only have 5 routers in my topology and the CPU and memory keeps spiking. In the older version of CML I used to run 8 or 10 routers in a lab and have no issues. Thanks Cisco for all your help! I appreciate it. Thanks!

Sandboxes are running normally for me now. The Sandbox team fixed the issue. Thanks!

what your PC specs? how many cores and RAM did you allocated to vm running CML?

check and/or post the same question  on CLN, see https://learningnetwork.cisco.com/s/topic/0TO3i00000094ZjGAI/cisco-modeling-labs-personal-community

I am using the Dev Net Sandbox

well, in this case the problem is on Dev Net server side; maybe they were doing maintenance and some of virtual servers were down.

is this still issue ?

Yes, I can run about 5 routers at the most.. and they take a lot longer to boot up. Probably about 20 to 30 mins to boot up... In the previous CML version I can run about 8 router with no issues. Thanks for all your help! If theres anything you can do to help I would appreciate it! Or if there is anyone I can contact, please let me know. Thank you!

Yes, there is an issue.   I just tested new version of CML on DevNet Sandbox.  First of all,  their demo lab is running OK, 8 devices but not all resource-heavy (resource demanding), so I stopped it and drag a few of XRs 64 bit which are resource demanding (cannot run those at home on home CML).  Here, we have problem it seems.  I cannot start 3rd of XR 64 bit; I got 2 running but not more than that. So, new CML is Broken !  It shows resources are OK but routers are in queued status.  Maybe it takes some time to boot them or must start one by one. will see.....

I got al 3 of NX 9000 v running OK.  Did not try more of those.

I also tested 6 regular IOS 15.9 routers and 1 managed switch which all are OK.

Once you login, make sure you stop any running demo labs.

What routers do you run or need to run?

You can run only 2 of 64-bit images like XR 9k or NX OS 9k but not more due to resource limitation.  Once RAM indicator hits 74%, that is it!

I had turned on 6 Regular XRs and they were fine.  Also, other regular IOS images are fine,

So, issue could be if you want to run larger SP topology for CCIE SP track.  you will be limited.

I have the same issues...iosvl2 not working at all and iosv routers takes 20-30 min to boot up for 2 devices. What is Sandboxes and how do they work? Sorry I a full blown nub...
