CML Sandbox - AnyConnect upgrade

This is not really a question, but just an observation and complaint.
When I connected to the DevNet CML sandbox I used my installed Anyconnect, when connecting it downloaded the newer version form what I am running (4.8 to 4.9). 
Due to the fact I was connecting via a works laptop they have not upgraded their Anyconnect yet and after the software was automatically upgraded I lost my company profile connections.  This isolated me from the company network, until I could get the software re-installed with pre-confiured profiles from my IT department.
My issue is that I am unable to use the sandbox until my company has upgraded their anyconnect client. Is there anyway that this can be stopped/disabled form the client device?  If not I would recommend that it be switched of at the Cisco SandBox VPN device side.

As far as I know .. the sandbox doesn't force you to upgrade..  I'm using version 4.7 and never had any issues. 

may be new labs upgrade ..

and you are right it auto-upgrades to 4.9

You could run OpenConnect for your sandbox use and keep AnyConnet only for your work use. Both AnyConnect and OpenConnect can work in parallel.
