CSR1000v MTU in Multi-IOS Cisco Test Network

 A week or so before the maintenance or upgrade of Sandbox, I was able to adjust the MTU on the CSR1000v to do an OTV lab and was successful. Since the upgrade, i have not been able to do so. I can change the MTU on the interfaces but it has no real impact and OTV adjacency  will not form due to the MTU size. Any ideas?

UPDATE:

I am actually able to get the OTV adjacency to form between my two ASR-1001x's. The issue is with attempting to ping across the tunnel. I can see the OTV arp-nd-cache for the nodes as well as the routes to each on the OTV routers but can't ping.
