Did you configure the external connector in bridged mode?
Do you have IP connectivity from the outside to your CML devices?

CML labs are not reachable from outside via VPN

This looks for me routing issue, check on the VPN IP and check any ACL also.

But the default CML lab devices are reachable from outside, even if I remove one of the devices in the default CML lab and connect another device type , then that device must be reachble from outside via VPN as all other devices in default CML lab are reachable from outside via VPN but that new device is also not reachable from outside via VPN

new device is also not reachable from outside via VPN

this need to be verify what kind of IP address and topology you have  ?

I am using the same topology of default CML labs just that one of the devices is removed and replaced with my own custom device . It should work as the device removed was reachable from outside .

@yatharthavijay5 is your custom device reachable from the inside, ie from other nodes. What devices did take out and what custom device did you add?

Can you verify if the IP assigned to the newly added device can be reachable by other nodes in the topology? Does that IP belong to the same range as the other nodes?

The IP address assigned to the interface of the router connected to the external connector is 10.10.20.171 , which is the IP address of the device replaced by this device . It should work as the configs are replicated from the removed device . Please try once doing this and let me know if this works for you .

Thanks for coming back .

So, I'm assuming you are trying to replace R1 which is IOL device in default topology and replace it with the same IOL node along with its IP?

Is that the right understanding?

Did you clear the ARP cache on the other devices after exchanging the device with the same IP address?
