Lab Network Address for JabberClient Sandbox

I received an email that my sandbox is ready.

The lab network address is written as: devnetsandboxlabs.cisco.com/rave06.

When I enter that into anyconnect as the server to connect to I get Connection attempt failed. Please try again.

Was I supposed to get an IP address?

My lab user ID is jmennear.

thanks.

john

HI,

Solution is to downgrade to Anyconnect Client 3.1. The Jabber guest lab does not currently support Anyconnect 4.0. This will be corrected in the next maintenance window.

I was able to resolve https://devnetsandboxlabs.cisco.com/rave06 to be 64.103.37.21.  But, still, when using Cisco AnyConnect Sercure Mobility Client, I get a pop-up windows stating that "Connection attempt failed. Please try again".

So, using devnetsandboxlabs.cisco.com/rave06, or it's IP address or that with https:// in front if it does not seem to matter.

Hi,

Can you confirm that you had the full hostname entered in to the Anyconnect client? i.e.   https://devnetsandboxlabs.cisco.com/rave06. The https dose not really matter when using the Anyconnect client. It becomes important if you wanted SSL VPN or wanted to download the client initially.

I tried this today from a remote network and it worked fine.

I was able to try again today from this PC I am typing on right now - so, I know the internet is working on it.

I am in France, would that prevent me from accessing https://devnetsandboxlabs.cisco.com/rave06 ?

I have a brand new Window 8 system, obtained here in France.

I have not VPN'ed into any networks other than WIFI into a LiveBox account.

I can ping devnetsandboxlabs.cisco.com, but I cannot ping the /rave6.

When I ping devnetsandboxlabs.cisco.com I get this result:

C:\Windows\system32>ping devnetsandboxlabs.cisco.com

Pinging devnetsandboxlabs.cisco.com [64.103.37.21] with 32 bytes of data:

Reply from 64.103.37.21: bytes=32 time=305ms TTL=240

Reply from 64.103.37.21: bytes=32 time=82ms TTL=240

Reply from 64.103.37.21: bytes=32 time=85ms TTL=240

Reply from 64.103.37.21: bytes=32 time=82ms TTL=240

I turned my firewall off and tried the test and it still failed.

Any thoughts as to what I have set incorrectly on this PC that is preventing me from connecting via Cisco Anyconnect?

Hi John,

What version of Anyconnect are you using?
