Possible to bringup new vEdge within Cisco SD-WAN Sandbox? CML?

Hello,

Curious if it's possible to onboard a new vEdge within the Cisco SD-WAN sandbox. Or, if it's possible to bringup an entire SD-WAN topology within the hosted version of CML (looks like it has the vManage, vBond, vSmart & vEdge images) and then onboard a new vEdge within that.

New to the SD-WAN space - interested in learning more! Thanks

@kenmartinmiller you can generate your certificates on vManage directly with vShell if you did not want to use a Linux host in CML (I have seen other examples use the vBond controller as a Root CA too).

You can use this pipeline here --> https://github.com/CiscoDevNet/sdwan-devops to build this in VIRL/CML.

Hope this helps.

Hey @kenmartinmiller in the current standalone SD-WAN (Always-One / Reservable) you cannot add additional edge devices. However, you can do this with the CML sandboxes which have the SD-WAN images present.

Hope this helps.

Awesome, thanks @bigevilbeard !

In the CML sandbox, what would I use as the CA? & to access the vManage GUI, would I add an IP to the VPN 0 int and use that?

Thanks again.

Thanks again @bigevilbeard ! Will try that out. Noticed that the CML Sandbox isn't listed this morning (https://devnetsandbox.cisco.com/RM/Topology), possibly down for maintenance? Hoping it's not down for good. Thanks

@kenmartinmiller it hasn't been removed - just suspended for some unplanned work.

Good to know, thanks again!

@bigevilbeard any word on when CML Sandbox will be restored? Thanks

@kenmartinmiller ENG team are still working on bringing this back into the catalogue for reservation.
